40 Days for Life update

I have already done a couple prayer shifts in front of Planned Parenthood for Seattle 40 Days for Life. The first time was this past Thursday with my friends Jeremy and Susan, and the second time this Saturday with Jeremy and Sharon. I felt the strong presence of the Lord at both shifts, and we got to meet new people who are also prayer warriors for Jesus!
We didn't see any pro-choice protestors during our shifts, but they were out in full-force during our kick-off meeting last Tuesday night. Here is my own account of what happened on that intense night:

We met at this catholic church by UW and there was group of pro-choice protesters outside with signs and speakerphones. They obviously have heard about our meeting and were trying to disrupt and intimidate us, with chants and rude remarks. So there was already spiritual warfare going on before we started.
Even with the intense protest outside, our meeting went on inside, as none of us really paid the protesters any attention. Inside, there was a large chart indicating that about half of the shifts 24/7 for 40 days have been filled, and new people were signing up for more. We were a mix of college students and older folks (pro-life veterans), and most of them catholic.
The meeting kicked-off with 3 speakers, the first one was Sheila, who's worked in India with Mother Theresa, and 2 other leaders of pro-lifemovement. All the speeches were very encouraging and inspiring. At first the protesters outside were trying to make as much noise as possible as to drown out our speakers inside (there was a large glass window between us). So I prayed that God would quiet them down, and in 5 minutes most of them were quiet.
Later, during our 3rd speaker, 2 middle-aged ladies walked in and sat down in the back, and they started interrupting the speaker and disrupting the meeting. They were yelling in a mocking tone against us. the priest of the church came and asked them to leave, or else that he would have to call the police. They were yelling loudly as they grudgingly walked out of the building.
It was cool to see that the Christians did not respond back with anger, we were all just sitting quietly, not reacting, but filled with peace, compassion, love, and prayer for the 2 ladies. It was a pretty intense moment in the meeting, but by God's grace we carried on without further incident. At the end of the meeting, the leaders told us that we can invite more of our friends to join, and to fill up the remaining open shifts. All of us got a free t-shirt,wristbands, and info cards that we could pass out.
After the meeting, they gave us candles and we all marched down from the church to Planned Parenthood with the lighted candles, as a prayer vigil for the unborn. by that time, the pro-choice protesters have long departed, and we walked down 45th unopposed, and spend about 30 minutes in front of planned parenthood in worship and silent prayer. It was a powerful time in the Lord.
