wonderful { snowy } iceland

I have been here in Iceland for 2 weeks now, leading worship on my electric violin (and playing guitar and singing as well) in various churches and ministries.  It has been a great time.  I have also been enjoying the snowy weather and condition during this time of the year here.  I will only have 2 more days before flying back to Seattle.  Not sure when I would be able to come back in the future, but I would definitely want to come back in the summer sometimes to explore more of the spectacular scenery and wilderness of Iceland.

Relocating to Iceland for 2.5 months

If you are a frequent visitor to this site, you can see that I have changed the title of this blog to heaven invading iceland, because I am currently in Iceland and will be here for 2.5 months, until December, participating in the move of God here in this island nation.

The thrust of this website will remain the same, to announce and document various kingdom events in the local region and beyond (instead of from Seattle, now Reykjavik).  It will be interesting to see what happens here as God breaks through.

Iceland volcano eruption stops!

Finally, yesterday, the volcano that has disrupted air travel throughout Europe over the past months, had stopped spewing.  Praise God!  Read the news article here.

For the past few days, you've probably heard about how the Eyjafjallajoekull volcano have been disrupting airline flights throughout Europe, due to the ash cloud hovering in the sky, making it unsafe for planes to fly.  Let's pray for the situation to be "cleared up!"  Click here to read the latest news report on the crisis.

Back in the Northwest

I am now back in the Seattle area from my Iceland ministry trip!  My last day this trip in Iceland was this past Wednesday.  We flew out that evening to New York, and I spend the night in Flushing with my parent's friends, while my teammates Greg and Tim went on back to Charlotte, NC.
After one restful day in NYC, I flew back to Seattle last night.  Thank you all for your prayers for me on this trip!  God really moved in power, and 24/7 prayer is about to be birthed in Iceland.  I am planning to write up a mission report soon, and upload some pics as well.  Stay tuned!

God rocks Iceland

The past few days has been amazing here in Reykjavik, Iceland.  We have had three straight days of intense worship and prayer, with worship teams from various local churches taking shifts 24/7.  The local believers are on fire for God.  I have been playing with Tim Brock, a worship leader on guitar and flute, and we have been trading off leading on guitar and playing off each other (with me on my electric violin when he's playing guitar).  Our worship sets has been some of the best that I've played on.  God was just present throughout.
We also had the opportunity to play on other Icelandic worship teams and in a large local church.  And we have another worship/prayer set later today.  Though my left hand has not fully healed yet, I have been receiving healing prayer here everyday and I am able to play for long hours everyday without pain.  Praise God!  Please continue to keep me in your prayers.  God has been so good, and there is a birthing of the House of Prayer and revival here in Iceland.  Let your kingdom come here, Lord!

Arrival in Iceland!

Just got in (it's Thurs morning here).  Praise Father God for safe, smooth flights here (Seattle to NY JFK to Iceland).  The weather is beautiful and the scenery is even better.  God is good.  I'm going to rest up before the prayer summit starts tomorrow morning.  Thanks for all your prayers and please keep us covered during my time here!
