On Friday night a group of us (including my bro Gid, his wife Julia, and their friends) went to downtown Boston to watch a preview of the documentary "Nanking." The film is about the massacre of Chinese by the Japanese military in Nanking during World War II. Produced by Americans, it is a very powerful, informative motion picture that helps us reflect on the horrors of past history and alert us not to repeat them again.
