Last Sun night: live worship with Leonard Jones

Last Sunday night, my friend Jeremy and I had the opportunity to see Leonard Jones, the former director of worship at MorningStar, lead worship at Open Heart Ministries in Bothell.  The event was not really advertised, and not that many people in Seattle knew about Leonard anyways, so it was not a large meeting, which turned out to be a good thing.

I had known Leonard from the time I was at MorningStar, and it was good to see him again, this time in my neighborhood.  I chatted with him, and heard about how he is doing.  During the worship set, he shared more about his personal journey in the Lord, over the years.

For worship, Leonard brought two of his old friends, Red and Glenn, both electric guitar players, to jam with.  The leadership at Open Heart was very generous to give them the freedom to play as the Holy Spirit led.  Each person in the "band" took turns to sing his own songs.  Musically, Leonard was playing acoustic guitar, keyboard, and violin, sometimes all three on the same song!

We worshipped to some MorningStar favorites such as Jesus, Bless the Lord, and Burning Bush.  It was a wonderful, powerful, intimate night of worship.  We knew that we were all tremendously blessed by the Lord.

Great "Burn" worship session at Revelation Church last Sat

Several friends and I went up to Revelation Church in Lake Stevens last Saturday evening, to attend their monthly "Burn" worship sessions.  This time, we worshipped for 2.5 hours straight, and the presence of God came in a strong way.  We had "deep encounters" with the Lord!

"Thy Kingdom Come" conference this weekend!

Hi, I am finally back on heaven invading washington.  As many of you know, I have been away for over a month on a significant ministry trip in the Far East.  And after I returned to WA, I had to move right away (in the same general region), so things have been a bit hectic, unsurprisingly.

Now that I'm more settled down, I want to let you know about a big conference coming up in a couple days.  It's called Thy Kingdom Come at Sonrise Chapel in Everett, and the guest speakers include Peter Wagner, Chuck Pierce, and Bill Hamon.

Great worship at The Burn Seattle last Sat!

I had a powerful time last Saturday night at The Burn Seattle, a nationwide movement focusing on worship and prayer.  It was held at Revelation Church in Lake Stevens, WA.  Amy Thompson led worship on keys and it was one of the most powerful worship session I have ever participated in.  The presence of God was really strong.

Lenny LaGuardia will help both parents and children’s ministry leaders see how God can redefine us as role models in the lives of children and address strategies that can connect children to their destinies in Christ.

Lenny and Tracy LaGuardia are the executive directors of the Children’s Equipping Center at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, overseeing all local, national and international ministries relating to children ages 1-12. Lenny LaGuardia also serves as the Senior Vice President of Ministries and Justice Division at IHOP-KC. They have been married for over 25 years and have five children.

From Genesis to Revelation, God has made it clear that when He manifests Himself on Earth, he desires active involvement of humans. Throughout the Bible, we see God searching for someone to stand in the gap between Himself and humanity, someone who could reconcile Heaven and Earth. In the fullness of time, God sent His broken humanity to be reconciled to God and gave them the glory and honor of being seated with Him in heavenly places. The purpose of the Cross was to join men and women with the eternal Intercessor in His perpetual ministry before the throne, both in this age and int he ages to come.

This series, in conjunction with IHOPU and IHOP-NW’s Forerunner School of Supernatural Ministry (FSSM) was designed to awaken believers to the glory of union with God and to the dignity of their calling to intercessory prayer. We have dominion and authority in the Kingdom of God through intimacy. Through knowing God, we understand His desires, and we intercede for those desires to be fulfilled. When we come into agreement with God’s heart and purposes by living lives of prayer and fasting, His will is released in the earth.

David Puleo's electric guitar playing adds tremendous creativity to the worship band through both outstanding technique and the creative use of tone and effects.  David will teach modern guitar techniques, equipping worship guitarists with new tools.


The Worship Rhythm Section: How to build a solid foundation for creativity and liberty in worship.
Jesse Proctor and Bruce Norris play drums and bass respectively and have become experts at providing the solid rhythm section that is the foundation of any band.  Jesse and Bruce will teach the importance of the role of the rhythm section, and how drums and bass played well provide a musical backdrop allowing increased liberty for worship leaders, musicians, and the congregation to enter into greater creativity, freedom and expression in the Holy Spirit.

Capturing and Releasing Creativity: How to express what the Holy Spirit is saying both vocally and instrumentally.
Rebekah Proctor is an annointed keyboardist, outstanding songwriter and worship leader known for spontaneous creativity both musically and vocally.  Rebekah will teach how she "captures creativity" and "releases" the heart of heaven both instrumentally and vocally. She has been releasing the joy of heaven in prophetic worship for more than 10 years.

Vocal Training for Worship: Maximize the use of your voice to express your heart to God and God's heart to people.
Linsey Wallace has a wealth of vocal training experience, having performed in select vocal choirs and jazz groups since she was a teenager.  Linsey will teach how to develop your vocal technique and how to get the most from your God given talent.  Linsey is an outstanding singer and songwriter with a powerful anointing to lead people into God encounters.

Visual Prophetic Art: Expressing heaven's heart.
Natalie Duncan is a walking encourager of joy and creativity in life.  She heads up visual worship arts at ER Ministries.  Natalie will teach how to tap into what the Holy Spirit is saying and express visually the heart of heaven.  She will help artists differentiate between what is self-inspired and God-inspired.  Natalie's art has communicated and affirmed a 'present' word of God in meetings, echoing and enhancing worship, revelation and ministry.
